A quiet full moon ritual

A ten-minute practice for the full moon: a bowl of water, a notebook and an honest question.

A quiet full moon ritual

The full moon is the Moon at its brightest, opposite the Sun. Traditionally it is a time of culmination and release, when things begun at the new moon come to light.

The practice

Fill a bowl with water and set it where it catches the moonlight. Write down one thing that has come to fruition this month and one thing you are ready to release. Read both aloud, then pour the water onto soil.

Why it works

Ritual gives a shape to reflection. The moon simply keeps the appointment.
